John and Little John would personally like to thank you for taking it easy on us! You are correct we need to work on our lines. I know for us it was our first week on stage without a script but its just another step towards our goal and that is excellence because thats what God gives to us.
Three days away from practice again which is Wednesday the 15th. Today was Resurrection Sunday as well as my birthday so I didnt get to study today. But tomorrow is a study,study,study day. Be blessed
Rehearsals have officially changed as of this week and will get intense. Prepare yourselves to go over a scene 15 times if that’s what it takes. Get on top of your lines and make sure you know the scene summaries.

Sister Nicole, I do appreciate what you’re trying to accomplish & that is bringing out the best in ALL OF US – We are like “diamonds in the rough,” pearls inside the shell being processed & going through the process & finally, we’re like catapillars transforming into beautiful butterflies – WE ARE AT THE PROCESS STAGE! Keep up the good work! & only with the help of God, we will not let you down, because in essence we would actually be letting God down by not giving him our all & all, our best toward the ministering of His people & the people who aren’t His yet but soon will be His.

I really just want to say thank you Nicole for giving me this chance to participate in the drama team. And it is an honor to play cinderalla (Angela) I have never acted in a play before, but im excited!! I love this play. Nicole, it seems that your plays continue to grow and grow and grow and thats awsome!! You are doing a great job!! Being apart of this ministry is all about communication and I like that just because it also gives me a chance to laugh and get to know the cast better. I do have my lines down( proboly a few lines I need to work on) but I learned not just to read my lines but read the entire play to know when you need to jump in. The part that Im working on is my gestures and actions. I have to keep in mind that Angela is a timid young girl, so her gesutres need to stay in that range. Yes, just getting a taste of acting I am lovin it! But why is it so easy to act mad… than it is to be shy. I gotta be honest angry is a fun emotions to act out (Sorry Shawn) But its funny because in reality I dont like getting angry ( I know, weird huh??) If I do get angry, I dont speak… I might talk it out with that person but I dont yell…only if I have to( haha) But anyway… yes I will be blogging more often. I really like how you set up this page Nicole! KUDOS!!!!!
Hey guys!! I really enjoyed the rehearsals. My favorite scene so far is the table scenes!! They are hilarious!!! I know that God will bless this play so the true intent will be expressed. As long as we stay prayful and humble. Nicole thanks for going easy on the cast!!! I was nervous for everyone (lol) but THANK GOD FOR THE BLOOD!!!

I haven’t had time to post because I have been at home practicing my art. The cast should be doing the same.

It is said that two objects cannot occupy the same place at the same time, so if your moving how can God move you and etc. I would admonish everyone to just let go and let God.

Tonite we had practice, even though I know my lines tonite I feel that I let my fellow cast members down. I know that the Lord always gives the best and thats what I want to give back to him. On the ride home I was praying and meditating I asked the Lord what can I do to get better and he answered me to stay focus. So tonite I learned that no matter what is going on around me that I must stay focus and trust God he will do the rest! be blessed
Team: While you need to stay focused, try not to get
frustrated. We are at the 6 week point. You all have been dealing with Nicole in the line rehearsals. Technical rehearsals, well it’s time to meet Nikki. If we need to do 30 takes of one scene to pull out the emotion in the script. That’s what we do. You will know this play backwards and forwards come performance day. You all got a taste of that last night. Stay focused and determined to convey the key beats (lessons/messages) in each scene.
Acting out emotions can be challenging. One of the key factors depends on your believability. Run lines with a partner and find a mirror to sit in front of. Before you start, non-verbally convey the emotion you are trying to express with your body and face first (Anger, Cheerful, Disappointment, Regret, Excitement, etc). After you do this, then practice the scene.
Words coming out of your mouth is one thing, but if someone was far away, could they figure out what is going on? I’ve witness a number of things from afar and could tell by the body language whether it was good or bad. On stage words, body language and facial expressions are key to a believably storyline.

Hey everyone we are 5 weeks away and I am very excited. Nicole you should put a picture on the site so the rest of the world can see our Angel. One last thing Anthony A.K.A Grady was off the chain last week in practice can’t wait to see him bring that same laughter to the stage.
Practice awesome! Everybody is getting confortable and it is coming out in the characters.
Nicole God has really used you. Where else can you get laughter, fighting, love, and more fighting; it reminds me of my family reunion (LOL).
The person who misses this play is going to miss out on their blessing. I know I’m going to be there.
Shawn you are dead on tonite practice was awesome it was love and unity in that place and you could feel something special ready to be born. I am so blessed to be apart of such an outstanding cast and to be under the watchful eye of sister Nicole. She has demonstrated time and time again that she takes this ministry seriously and she knows what she is doing! Be blessed and don’t miss this play get your tickets early.

Great rehearsal last night everyone. You could feel the intensity of great anticipation in the room. We’ve been rehearsing since January and your professionalism is really starting to come through.
Now, someone hit me with a surprise yesterday, and now I might have to replace a character 5 weeks before performance. Yes, we’ve decided to add a day to the production, regardless that day would still be our intense final rehearsal, and now we’re adding a Friday technical. At auditions last December all of you were asked if you would be able to make this commitment and the dates were listed. I don’t expect anyone to miss technical’s at this stage. You’ve made a commitment to God and “His” ministry. Please do whatever you have to do to be there. I would hate to replace someone after all the time we’ve spent thus far. Only what you do for Christ will last.

I’d like to agree with Nicole. Rehearsals were still a little uneasy in my opinion, but it’s obvious our confidence in the script is growing. Let’s continue to focus on the chemistry though because no matter how well we know our lines, if they’re not believable our work will be in vain. Be blessed and keep up the excellent work. Buddy, I really like how you broke that down about “if were not believable our work will be in vain.” And Im not trying to have my work for God be for no purpose. Im in my script and asking God to really guide me and put me in Angelas shoes. I really want people to be touched and see what each character is going through, through out the play. I will continue to keep praying for this ministry, that God will use us in a mighty way to help others find the love of God. I will stay focused.
Just a reminder lets continue to pray and stay focused I once heard that a family who prays together stays together! And you guys are my family the devil would like to get us of focus but our God is in control so lets remember to lift him up and bless is holy name. Well, you all got a taste of the stage yesterday. Isn’t it different? Now is the time where knowing your lines is key. It’s easy to get nervous and adlib to the point where it throws everything off. The more you know your lines and the outline of each scene. It will run alot smoother. Next week we’ll block the stage and I think we need to meet at 3 not 4. It got a little confusing, but overall for the first stage rehearsal, you all did well. We will run lines on Wednesday.

Nicole girl this has got to be a passion and labor of love for you! You work very hard at what you do, so if no one has done it today let me give you your props! You go GIRL!!
Now this is hard work…LOL!!! Im seeing how Nicole wants the family dinner to be, letting everything flow like a normal dinner. But we have to know our lines in order to do that =) I just want to say something. I have watched alot of Nicole’s plays, but this one seems to be soo different from the others. I believe Gods hands are upon us and Hes working on us to feel our character. This play is going to be a GREAT blessing to EVERYONE!! Im so glad were having it for two nights. Theres so much emotion and so much going on in the play, its going to keep the audience wanting more, hearts being touched, tears rolling down the face, bellys hurting from laughter, and sadness. All of that! And speaking of emotions, Nicole when we did the dinner scene over and over agian, I to had to cry over and over again. After my 5th time crying, I really started to feel sad…LOL!! Now thats crazy. This play is going to minister to everyone. I dont care if your 8 or 80, its gonna minister. I am soo excited of the new part that you put in the play Nicole. We are truley doing the work of Christ.
WOW is all I can say I didn’t have a clue how it would feel to be on the stage for the first time with lights and props. It’s really mind blowing and takes a lot of work. Secondly I have been on teams all my life from playing sports to groups at work but never in my life have I been involved with a group of people that I can honestly say are all a pleasure to be around and to grow with. Kim your knowledge and advice you give behind the scenes is incredible and Nicole thank you for not letting Nikki out yet.

All I can say is we are at the part that I love! This is the part when we come out of the room with white walls. Now the walls have color, pictures, mirrors on stage and we even have a kitchern. You are actually looking into a home. To me this is the part were the characters come to life.
The idea of having us dress as our character is awesome. I actually felt like Linda yesterday. I went to Costco as Linda and you should of seen the looks that I got…..especially when I had to run to the register…lol I know people where thinking look at that old lady running I hope she doesn’t hurt herself.

I love this time as well. It is fun just being up and becoming the character. There is nothing like losing yourself in that moment.
I am glad we got the first stage practice out of the way. I think
everyone would agree that the anticipation of being on stage was worst than actually being up there.
Lastly, I would like to remind everyone to have fun. We will never get this time back. We all want to do well and something that will help us do well is relaxing, having fun, and enjoying the time God has allowed us to have with one another.

Nicole thanks for allowing me to be part of this play. I have always admired your work from a distance, but not I get to see it up close an personal. Just keep doing what you do! And I second what Bro David said about Sis Kim, she was a great help to me on my first time being at practice. I really believe in the work being done therefore I will do my part! I need some tickets to sell, I want to sell atleast 15 or more before the 5th of May. I pray that everyone in the cast will really feel the parts and pray and let God give you the insight to the vision that the Director (Nicole) has for this play and everything will work just fine!
Okay yall, its time too sell tickets. I will be giving tickets to my mom, dad, sister and brother. And I’ll also be selling them off at my job too! Don’t play, Im trying to I have been studying and practicing my dance for this play. Sometimes its hard for me to go all the way though with out me shoutin’. I just thank the Lord and His wonderful works! My mission is not the light to shine on me, but for His light to shine through me. Im not wanting to perform, but to minister. Wanting God to use me to minister to His people in need or in a hard situation. I pray that people see what Angela goes through and see how she over comes her situations. Like First Lady says,” Its happening for you, not to you”. Nicole, this song you chose is perfect. I pray that God guides us all and let the spirit take over to touch, minister, deliver His children. I take heed to my praise dance ministry and I don’t take it lightly. This is my passion!!!

Quick Shot Out to ISAAC – The commercial was quite a task and you all know how picky I can be when it comes down to the “final” product. Isaac and I have been editing the commercial for a couple weeks now. I had Ike rearrange the commercial so many times it would make your head spin (LOL). You really came through baby brother, gotta love ya! Also to my husband Monte, thanks for the music, I absolutely love it! I’m going to do the curtain call with it and I know people will want to get jiggy. Great job babe. Time to get jiggy people (LOL).

I soo agree!! Nicole, God really is using you! Like you said you are just a vessel. I was just telling David Scott that God is going to bring excellence out of this play through us and I can’t wait to see it for myself. I believe God revealved to us tonight that He put us together for a reason, and we got to see it! Nicole, I truly want to keep working with you in the future regarding your plays. If im in the back being a makeup artist, I dont care. Its a creative way of ministring and letting the audience view the cast as a mirror, as they see themselves. Cast, I just want to say “I love you!”
Practice tonight was awesome and it showed that God put this cast together for a purpose, we also found out that the word is real we truly overcome by our testimonies. I feel so blessed to be apart of this ministry and pray that this drama team stays together for years to come. Nicole you are truly a vessel of the almighty God and I thank you for hearing and doing his word. Be blessed cast the day is approaching and I know God will be glorified.
I totally agree with the previous comments. This play has GOD written all over it. I will not let the opportunity to gain the lesson that He is giving me accept it and move to the next Dimension that He has and I expect to take some others with me! I enjoyed practice last night! It’s a blessing to know that this play is ministering to people already and we haven’t even actually done it. I know that a lot of lives will be touched in the process. We all have very important roles. I thank God this is my last week of school which gives me up until the play to go hard on it! I am really excited, having acted in over 10 years so I know it will feel good to be back on stage and this time its for the Lord!! Hallelujah!!

The more I practice my lines, the more I feel how Angelas expressions are and what she would say at a certain time. I am being prayful for the whole drama cast. It may get difficult to work with others, but my main prayer is asking God to have us stay unified. I have to say, we really work well with eachother as a whole. We are all doing our best. Porkchop- I enjoyed watching you play 2 characters. You had me ROLLIN’!! Im really trying to spread the word about the play. I pray that both nights the church is packed!!
Yesterday I started to get that feeling in the pit of my stomach that I will have until we minister at the appointed time. It’s not nervousness and I dare not call it anxious. I’m excited about the opportunity to minister to people in a different way.
We have the opportunity to change lives. To help someone forgive and be set free. To strength relationships and friends. To show when someone is taken from you, God will give you something else and his peace if you want it. Someone will never step foot in a church otherwise, but after the play maybe they will be encouraged to attend a church and give their life to Christ.
People will come for the entertainment and the enjoyment of live theater. Our purpose is to touch their souls and inspire heart changes! Lord have mercy, I’m about to go off in here! Please take this serious cast member, it’s not about you or an opportunity to be seen and show off. God appointed you to witness, to be one of his disciples on May 23 and 24. Let’s fast and pray and consecrate our flesh so that God can speak through you to his people! Love you all, see you tomorrow at rehearsal Lord willing.

I am with you on this. This morning the Lord woke me up and prompted me to read my daily devotions book. The topic for the day was “Identify Who You Are” I Peter 3:11. I then went right in to searching the scriptures for understanding and then prayer.
Lord willing I will be at prayer tonight. Just last week, I told myself that I couldn’t have any activities on Tuesday and Thursday that will cause conflict with me making it to church.
I know God has something good for us to minister and I too am excited to see it unfold.

I know you are right on this. I was passing out flyers and almost miss an opportunity to minister to this lady. But I am so glad that I was obedient and gave her a flyer. She walked away with it and came back with tears in her eyes as she told me she really need that and that she will be there! We can’t be forgiven if we don’t forgive. Nikki I agree with you 100% just yesterday I lost my Aunt and even though my heart is heavy I know that there is nothing to hard for God. And believe it or not I thought about Angela’s character and all that she has gone thru but yet she as a peace and joy that only God can give. I believe in this ministry and the power of unity so if we empty ourselves out and allow God to use us on May 23-24 something wonderful is going to happen you never no this may lead to that last saved soul so we can all go home to glory! Thank again Nicole for hearing the Lord and Obeying and that feeling in your stomach I feel as well thats that one accord spirit.

Thank you for your words of encouragement Nicole. We all have very trying lives off the stage, and outside of the safety of church. It’s only Tuesday, but this week and last week were pretty trying for me, but I take comfort in knowing I have an omnipresent savior. In my weakest hour, he’ll send a word may it be through Bishop, 1st Lady, Bro. Greg, Nicole, heck a billboard! But what I need he provides. Don’t know why I’m going into this, but I guess just to share my testimony. Whatever you need, no matter the situation, God is always there and able to provide.
With all of us praying and preparing for the play, I just wanted to do my part to keep the ministry team encouraged. Love you all, and see you tonight (prayer) or in rehearsal.
I just got off the phone with a couple of people that I needed to ask for forgiveness. It was emotional, it was hard, I was scared, I didn’t know what to expect. But, I did it. When I wrote this particular play I had no idea it would effect me in such a powerful way. As the author I did not want to be a hypocrite with bitterness and unforgiveness in my heart. So, I placed a called to a couple of people I haven’t spoken to in years. I apologized and ask for forgiveness. I’ve been set free, such a load has been lifted. I literally feel lighter so to speak. WOW!
To show you further how God works. This past Sunday someone showed up to church unexpectedly. Someone who’s done some pretty mean and nasty things, that effected my life. I have to say, I truly didn’t understand because the person didn’t know much about me. The person came to me after church and sincerely apologized and I had to forgive.
Cast – I pray that you all do the same if there’s anyone you need to forgive or if you need to ask for forgiveness. Together we will be more powerful than any other play we’ve done if our lives are truly in line with the Lord.

Nicole, I have been doing what you advised us to do and that is to consecrate our flesh so that we will be in line with God through out this play. I have been praying today on that we stay focus on what God is wanting to do through this play: to heal, mend, love, forgive and receive Salvation. Yes, the devil is on my back, but yet will I keep trusting God. No weapon formed against this ministry shall prosper. I want to see God do a mighty work in setting people free in whatever their going through or holding on too.
Nicole, I started praying for you instantly after receiving your text today. Praying that God will give you the words on what to say because I know at times of trying to ask for forgiveness, it can be scary or a little awkward. But I see that you have asked for forgiveness and now your free like a bird. I’m rejoicing with you!
I’m so touched by this play and we haven’t even performed it yet. God, I pray that every word that is spoken in the play, let somebody be touched and ministered by it. It may remind them back to a hurtful memory in the past, a loved one leaving them, or simply just seeing themselves and knowing that its time for a change. Lord oh God, these are your people. I pray through it all, the people see that You truly loves us and Your wanting the best for us. Let them see Your hand extended out to them through the play so that they may also want to forgive and want to be saved. Amen.

I just finished reading all of the recent comments & I must say that my soul is encouraged. I’m not sure about what’s going on with me – But, I am asking prayer from the “true worshippers” of God to please remember your sister in prayer.
I want you all to know (because God already knows my heart) that I truly love my Jesus with all my heart, soul, mind, entire being & I don’t blame Him for anything that has happened to me because, as 1st Lady put it – “It didn’t happen TO me but it happened FOR me,” I have been really going through in dealing with depression & feelings of being isolated. Now, I know & I am confident that God has NEVER left me & @ 1 time I know beyond a shadow of doubt that God had delivered me from being depressed.
I need your prayers that he will TOTALLY & COMPLETELY deliver me from the depression & IF it’s His will, that he will send me a companion & friend. Also, I know that God is the only 1 who can truly spiritually “fill the emptiness” & void that in my life, but I also feel the need for that emptiness & void to be filled naturally. Right now, just know that all I need right now is your prayers.
God Bless each & everyone of you. I want you all to know that I truly love you from the bottom of my heart & I do thank God for you. If the Lord is willing, I will see you tonight.

Man Rebecca you are doing a fantastic job and know that your role is crucial to the ministry of this play. You have taken your character to a new level and its a joy to watch. It is such a joy to be apart of this ministry and to watch the growth that has taken place from where we started in January.

Yes Rebecca is taking her role to where Nicole needs it to be to get the message across. And Laire you had me in tears, I could really feel the emotions behind what you were saying you go girls! I am praying that we all gain the lessons that God is placing before us and heed the message that is coming our way and respond to ever he tells us to do. Follow the lead of our director, get it staight with man and God, cause we can’t bypass each other and get to Him. God is so good to us to give us this chance to get things right. That’s LOVE!

Well, it’s 4 days before the production and I’ve had to replace someone, but you know what “All Things Work Together For The Good”. God is all knowing and truly has us covered.
Everything we’ve been through with this production reminds me of the slogan on our flyer:

Glad to be back home on the West Coast had to go back to Philly to lay my Aunt to rest. While I was there I did something that was heavy on my heart for years. I have an Aunt who I haven’t spoken to and she hadn’t spoken to me in years. I told Shawn aka Mario that I was going to approach her and to apoligize for our lack of communication. But as the moment approached and I was within eye sight I couldn’t get up the nerve, well right before we left for funeral my family asked if I would say the prayer and I did and as I was praying the Lord spoke to me do what you said you were going to do. So immediately after praying I walked over gave her a hug and whispered in her ear that I was sorry for our falling out and how much I love her. Guys the chains were instantly removed and I felt much better in my spirit. The cherry on top is that she asked me to forgive her also and she was so pleased that we can now be family again without making everyone else feel uneasy. This play I believe is the reason I had the courage to do what is right this ministry has moved me in many ways and I am blessed to be apart of it not just for the acting its all about the move of God.
Praise the Lord David! I think I may send a copy of the play to each of my family members because there is so much unforgiveness and I don’t know why but I continue to pray for them all!
I am so proud of our leader (Nicole) she is setting the example for us all, in that she is striving to make things right between herself and others by forgiving. It is not easy to do so, the enemy tries to keep us in unforgiveness, because it is such a powerful thing. It is a way to get a prayer through and it is freeing to forgive. I am praying for each cast member and those that come out to the play. It is God’s time to do what needs to be done! He knows what we have need of! And He is doing what needs to be done. We have to forgive to be forgiven! Wow when you really see this thing you will be careful not to take it lightly! This is not a performance; this is an opportunity to be used by God. This will be the very steps necessary to move us to that next dimension in Him!
I enjoyed working with all of you on this play. I had not acted since high school. I learned a lot on this play. The benefits are already coming in from this play. The healing has certainly accelerated. My Mom gave me the biggest kiss I’ve ever gotten from her! It’s a long story if you knew you’d feel me right about now. My family loved it and everyone that came. And we owe the success of the play to God. And through the obedience of our leader which spread down to the hem (that us all that worked on play in any capacity) it worked together for the good of everyone. Expect all the fringe benefits that is coming from this and keep believing and trusting God. I love my cast and Church family and most of all I love the LORD!
I love you guys!!! I really enjoyed the play! I can’t believe how fast it came. All of you guys were great and I wouldn’t mind working with such a great group again! Nikole you are truly blessed and I pray that God continues to use you! God Bless everyone!
Sis Christe you are there girl, you have got the gift. I have seen you in other roles and girl you are very versatile, you are a come back queen. No matter who missed a line or what was changed you were always on top of it with a funny comeback. I am sure we all learned something from you! You and Bro. Anthony together just worked so well. Laire you did an awesome as I imagined you would. And Miss Queen of mean, your go girl! Nicole you really picked the parts well. I am so glad I got the opportunity to share in a part of your rise to success. Because I really do see you going to the top and I don’t think it will be long in coming. Just keep doing what God has called you. I can see the passion for this drama ministry is all over you. And when you love what you do the money will flow. Just keep bring forth the message as God gives it to you. This is your platform.
